Cheetah in Focus

from 799.00

This male cheetah is one of the success stories of the AfriCat project at Okonjima, having been rescued and released back into the wild with his brother. No longer fed by rangers and having to rely instead on the effective deployment of their hunting instinct we (I say ‘we’ but actually the skilled ranger) tracked and found the pair closely guarding an impala kill. Unperturbed by us, this cat shoulder checks the horizon for competing predators.

This image was shortlisted for Outdoor Photograph of the Year in 2019 and commended in Digital Camera Wildlife Photograph of the Year also in 2019. It appeared in Outdoor Photography magazine in May 2018.
